" The Classic Adirondack chairs are very comfortable, but my friends seem to enjoy the pillows and the cup holders as much as the chairs."
4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Adirondack for a fantastic price, but not perfect. This is an amazing deal when you get down to it. About $50 for a wooden adirondack??? Yup. How do they do it? They cut out some of the labor and pass that on to the customer in savings. Please note, you will have to assemble these chairs yourself. But if you're like me, building things is kind of fun. Let me give you some background about me so you understand where this review is coming from. I am a pediatrician. I am not very mechanical. But I found that with a little common sense, time and the right tools, this was relatively easy to assemble and fun.

There are lots of things that are great about the Adirondack chairs, and here are a few of the most notable ones:
In using wood, you are letting the furniture look as it was intended. However, there are still problems with using wood for making the Adirondack chair. For example, wood is more vulnerable to the weather than resin, meaning that you have to adopt a yearly care-taking regime. This can be hard work, and will also take up a lot of spare time.

The Adirondack chair (also called the Muskoka chair in Canada) was crafted of 11 flat wooden boards and had the classic straight-back seat and wide wooden armrests. This chair was originally designed by Thomas Lee while vacationing in Westport, New York — a small town in the Adirondack Mountains.
A: High-density polyethylene plastic is water- and weatherproof, and won’t corrode even if you live along the coast, where your furniture may encounter salt spray. Even the chrome-plated fasteners used to hold the furniture together are durable and resistant to corrosion. If you live near the coast, you should be vigilant about regularly rinsing the furniture, paying careful attention to the fasteners, to prevent the buildup of salt.
