Bottom line, these are nice looking chairs, high quality, and the price is hard to beat. If you are willing to do the work of assembling them, and have the proper tools, I highly recommend these chairs. I would warn anyone that thinks they can do this without a drill to think twice. They provide self driving wood screws and you can drive them in with a screwdriver, but there are probably 50 or so screws per chair... your arm will get tired! Buy this chair, and feel good about the price!
Sorry to hear Jeffrey! Spare parts are cheap. It would be in their best interest to send you a few dollars in parts rather than return hundreds of dollars worth of chairs. Can I ask which part broke? Maybe there are others here that will be able to assist if we know exactly what part you need. Did you try calling & emailing them as well. Sometimes email works better
Plastic Adirondack chairs will never need to be stained or waterproofed. However, they will need to be cleaned periodically. Be sure to avoid harsh solvents and abrasives that could scratch or harm the integrity of the plastic.
Fire Pits, Folding Chairs and Folding Accessories are warranted to be free of original defects in workmanship and material for a period of ten (10) years of residential use or two (2) years of commercial use.
However, there are some things to remember when it comes to maintaining polyethylene furniture: Never place hot items, such as cooking dishes or candles, on poly furniture. Remember, it’s plastic. Fire and heat will melt it. Don’t forget to clean your furniture! You don’t need to do it every week, but plan to clean it several times a year to prevent minor stains from setting in. A good rule of thumb is to clean your furniture once each season — winter, spring, summer and fall. Avoid placing flowerpots or other items that could stain on poly furniture.
While the design of the Adirondack chair hasn’t changed for decades, the materials they’re made of have developed over the years. Finding the right chair made of the right material for your climate may not be the easiest task.
If you’re looking for something durable and low maintenance, recycled plastics are a smart choice, whether it’s C.R. Plastics or Polywood. Both offer excellent warranties, with CR Plastics typically having a 10 year residential warranty and Polywood going a bit further with a 20 year residential warranty. Some recycled plastic products are so durable, they offer limited lifetime warranties.
Concerns over deforestation may have you rethinking the traditional wood Adirondack chair. If you want the look of wood without the environmental impact, a high-quality polywood can be almost indistinguishable from natural wood. Polywood doesn’t require the maintenance of wood and can hold up in extreme weather conditions. Recycled plastic is another option that offers a colorful addition to your backyard.
If you live in a wet climate, you’ll want to use a mold-resistant finish or paint. Varnishes made for boats also work well if you live on the coast where humidity and moisture will be an issue all year.
What a beautiful place to relax and appreciate spring. Love the way you accessorized everything too!
Really appreciate this information. We are considering the Gensun Amari Cushion line. Have not been able to find it in a store. Do you happen to know what is the seat base made of. I’m talking about the seat under the cushion. Thanks.
Get your hands on the Hotodeal KN95 masks while they're still in stock — just $1 a pop.
I saw them last week at my local Costco’s. I live on the peninsula so I go to the 4 Costco’s around me. I will be at Costco tomorrow morning, so I will let you know if they are in stock in the South San Francisco Costco. Not sure if you’d be willing to make the drive, but I’ll check for ya. Hope you find them!
