I appreciate the information and chart you’ve shared showing the pros and cons of each type of material for outside furniture. I think a lot of this applies just as well to street furniture as far as durability. It’s important for businesses to understand how adding some street furniture out front can attract and retain visitors to your property. Understanding the benefits of each material can help you get the most long-lasting results out of that.
Bottom line, these are nice looking chairs, high quality, and the price is hard to beat. If you are willing to do the work of assembling them, and have the proper tools, I highly recommend these chairs. I would warn anyone that thinks they can do this without a drill to think twice. They provide self driving wood screws and you can drive them in with a screwdriver, but there are probably 50 or so screws per chair... your arm will get tired! Buy this chair, and feel good about the price!

Hello Tim. Thank you for your comment. Good luck on your search and we hope you find just what you’re looking for to create a beautiful and comfortable outdoor space.
I completely agree with you in that it is important to make sure you consider the type of weather you have before buying outdoor furniture. It is understandable that considering this can help you find a material that will last the cold of winter and the heat of summer. As I see it, taking the time to research this can help you save time when looking for the best stores where you can get the type of items you need to add beauty and comfort to your property.
The end product is I have 4 beautiful chairs, they are sturdy when I sit on them, and they fold beautifully. They are not the heaviest adirondacks I've seen, but they have a good weight behind them. A young adolescent could lift, but a smaller child might not be able to. When they fold, they are still rather big, but it is a nice feature if you want to move them around.
I know you’re saying, “Get to the point, what’s the best material for outdoor furniture?” I hate to leave you on the fence but the final decision is ultimately up to you. If you want something lightweight, chic, modern, and low-maintenance, go with synthetic resin wicker furniture. Looking for wood furniture suitable for the outdoors, go with teak. Looking for metal furniture? Stick with aluminum unless you want an eclectic design. In that case, wrought iron will likely offer more ornate options. Plastic Resin – Plastic resin is cheap, flimsy, unattractive, and fragile. Only good for temporary use. PVC Wicker – PVC wicker LOOKS like HDPE Wicker but when you find out what it’s really made of, you’ll see that it is not the best material to be used on outdoor furniture. Not only that, it is not recyclable like HDPE Wicker. Bare Metals – Bare metals will rust when exposed to rain and moisture. Make sure that any furniture you purchase is coated with a rust-proofing material. Where to Buy Outdoor Patio Furniture
These units are lightweight, easy to assemble, and fold up for storage. Unfortunately, there is no recline feature available on these chairs.
Teak: Teak is one of the most durable hardwoods on the market. A special oil found in the heartwood gives it the strength and durability to last a good 60 to 70 years. Even in weather conditions that swing from hot to cold and wet to dry, teak won’t split, rot, or crack. You will need to apply a sealant each year, but that’s it for upkeep. This popular wood comes at a high price, but you can leave it outside for years, and it will still provide a beautiful, relaxing surface on which to sit.
