Wrought iron is a historical outdoor furnishing material. The term “wrought” actually means that it was “worked by hand.” This differs from “cast” iron which is made using molds. Wrought Iron is the best material for outdoor furniture if you desire uniqueness and handcrafted designs. One thing to consider, however, is that wrought iron is much heavier than aluminum. Trust is one of the most important factors that the brands come up with, and Adirondack chairs are the perfect example of it. .
Teak: Teak is one of the most durable hardwoods on the market. A special oil found in the heartwood gives it the strength and durability to last a good 60 to 70 years. Even in weather conditions that swing from hot to cold and wet to dry, teak won’t split, rot, or crack. You will need to apply a sealant each year, but that’s it for upkeep. This popular wood comes at a high price, but you can leave it outside for years, and it will still provide a beautiful, relaxing surface on which to sit.

The Furniture Barn USA Poly Lumber line of poly resin Adirondack chairs is quite nice and will last a lifetime. The cup holder may be a nice bonus for some, though we rather like the uninterrupted plane of the traditional Adirondack arm a little better, and typically those arms are wide enough to rest drinks upon.
Many a lazy summer afternoon has been spent sitting in an Adirondack chair, sipping iced tea and basking in the sunshine. The very shape and silhouette of this famous chair are synonymous with relaxation and fun.
I saw them last week at my local Costco’s. I live on the peninsula so I go to the 4 Costco’s around me. I will be at Costco tomorrow morning, so I will let you know if they are in stock in the South San Francisco Costco. Not sure if you’d be willing to make the drive, but I’ll check for ya. Hope you find them!
Back in 1990, we were the first to create outdoor furniture from recycled plastic materials. "Made with genuine POLYWOOD lumber" is a brand promise. Our furniture is built to be enjoyed season after season after season. More importantly, our goal is to help create spaces where friends and family can gather, relax, and connect. POLYWOOD recycles an average of 400,000 milk jugs per day. Truckloads of recycled milk jugs are transformed into genuine POLYWOOD lumber which is then used to construct our furniture.
Our new fire pit chairs from Dutch Country General Store! Levi, the video on how to install was perfect. The chairs are perfect. The candy was perfect for this little guy who ate them all!
Even though some Adirondack chairs look extremely pretty, they are hard to maintain. If you don’t want any hassles regarding that, we’d advise you to buy a plastic or resin Adirondack chair. The resin Adirondack chair is also easy to clean. Just wipe it down with a clean cloth. Got stains on your chair? Use a mild detergent and brush to remove it. Learn how to paint your Adirondack chair.
Assembly of these chairs is pretty simple and will take about 30 minutes if you use a power drill and are somewhat familiar with furniture assembly. The instructions are well made.
I am sending these pictures of the Aruba blue glider I bought from you. I love it. It is such a high quality chair. I love the Amish work ethic and will be in touch for another chair in the future.
High heat and excess sun can damage poly resin, and if you’re in an environment where the weather gets very hot, say over 100′ regularly, you may want to bring your poly resin chairs to a shady area in those times.
Can you share which Bay Area stores you found these in? I have checked San Leandro and Danville but had no luck. I’ll try Concord today and Richmond is also not too bad a trip for me. These look like such a good deal though that I would travel to SJ or the peninsula to pick up.
We received our chairs and absolutely love them. Thank you and we will be sure to recommend your company to others.
The patio looks awesome! Could you tell me the dimensions of the patio itself? Was the firepit built directly on top of the concrete?
They are all “relatively” the same distance from the Vegas strip, so pick the one that is most convenient for you. Hope that helps
