Thank you for your interest in our quality built Wood Storage Sheds. California Custom Sheds® has been a leader in the storage industry since 1984. Prior to the creation of California Custom Sheds®, more than 33 years ago, we built custom homes in Southern California. We have applied this knowledge and experience to our storage buildings. We have also accumulated an abundance of knowledge developing our buildings to perfection over the last 33 years. Some, by listening to suggestions and ideas from the thousands of customers whom we have had the privilege to serve. There are many shortcuts a company can take when building a wood storage shed and garden storage sheds. Inferior building materials, or lack of materials, are just a couple of examples. Many of these shortcuts are never noticed nor can be seen by the untrained eye. California Custom Sheds® does not take shortcuts and uses only the best quality materials available to construct the best buildings available at a reasonable price.
To give superior customer service and reduce costs to you, we have no middlemen. Our commitment is to build relationships, value individuality and deliver quality to the end user. Our word is good. We deliver 175 miles of our factory in Arcadia FL .
A large shed, great for keeping your tools and equipment clean and dry, and keeping pests and the weather out.
We are extremely satisfied with our new shed from Shed City USA. Mitch was super easy to work with and his team was very efficient with the installation of the shed. The whole process went exactly as advertised and the final product is vastly superior to comparable sized sheds sold by Lowe’s and Home Depot. I highly recommend Mitch and She’d City USA to anyone looking for a Shed! Dean Kinkel 2 years ago
Building a shed costs most homeowners $3,634 (or $20 to $175 per square foot). But remember –– leave room in the budget because the cost of a shed typically ranges from $1,767 to $9,567. Depending on the shed’s design and construction, you might pay as low as $363 or as high as $30,000.
A promising point to note is that the doors are not of wood. They are now made from a series of the PVC extrusions and contained in an Aluminium frame.
Sheds are available in widths (W) from 4.5 ft to 15 ft, Deeps from 2 ft to 12 ft and heights from 5 ft to 7 ft. If you do not see a size you need or prefer any detail made differently, just let us know. Assembly is best done by two people and usually takes about half a day to a day, depending on size. Pergolas need a ratchet wrench, a hammer and a ladder to put them together. In some cases, you might need a drill to attach the posts into concrete. As with all our products, we preassemble pergolas in our shop to ensure everything fits together. All hardware is included and all parts are clearly labeled before it is shipped. We also include detailed step-by-step instructions. Take a look at our assembly instructions below for specific details. If you plan to pour concrete to hold the posts, the project will require an additional half day prior to assembly. Please do the concrete pour a few days prior to assembly to allow the concrete to cure. Special talent is not required to re-assemble our pergolas. But, if you would like help, just let us know. We have our own team for installations in California, Nevada and Southern Arizona and a network of local contractors we recommend for farther afield. Care: Your Forever Redwood Furniture will last for decades in year-round weather without maintenance. Depending on the wood grade you choose, even with harsh year-round outdoor conditions, you can expect your furniture to last from ten to forty years without maintenance of any kind. Being outside year-round is rough on any woods finish. The surface absorbs UV rays, pollution, constant variations in moisture and temperature and it also oxidizes. This is why most wood just doesn’t hold up and the surface color slowly changes towards a silver patina over the years. But, with Forever Redwood, you don’t have to worry. The silver patina is surface deep only (less than 1/64") and is not indicative of decay. Your set will last decades and is not compromised in any way by the surface color change. For example, we keep our display items as is without refinishing to show off this natural aging (we like the patina!). Although Forever Redwood is maintenance-free, we recommended you take a few minutes as needed to clean by either hosing down and/or brushing/dusting away accumulated debris (no soap or chemicals needed). If you’d like to keep your set looking its best for decades, please go to: Care and Finish. This shed has a peaked gable roof that provides enough headroom to hang items on the walls or create an overhead loft for seasonal items.
Yes you can customize a plastic shed, but it's not straight forward. You have two options, buy the 'official' extras sold by the manufacturer - which tend to be expensive, or make your own out of some plywood.
In short, we do not recommend building a shed for first-time DIYers. Even assembling a shed from a kit can have its challenges. Though the pieces are pre-cut, the directions can be difficult to follow, and a range of tools must be used.

Many shed shoppers don't consider buying a shed until the summer months hit. It isn't until people are wrangling their lawn equipment or organizing gardening tools that they realize they want to make the purchase. Because of this, there is often a summer rush. Unfortunately, shoppers mistakenly assume that there's a quick turnaround for shed ordering and delivery. However, that's not usually the case. If you order a semi-custom or fully-custom shed in late spring or early summer, there will likely be a wait time for construction and delivery.

Unless you are a contractor or have extensive construction experience, you may find building a wood shed to be beyond your skills. Even if you do have the skills needed to build a wooden or metal shed from scratch, you may find building one can take more hours than you have to spare.
